of glory in the flower

16 May

i havent been blogging as much as i thought i would. next week is the last week of the semester and i realised ive not written much abt how things have been going. and im not about to now. someday i will.

just wanted to share this poem i came across. i dont read poetry and i cant understand most of it. but this one’s beautiful.

Splendour in the grass

What though was the radiance which was once so bright
Be now forever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
of splendour in the grass,
of glory in the flower,
we will grieve not,
Rather find strength in what remains behind;
In the primal sympathy
which having must ever be;
In the soothing thoughts
that spring out of human suffering;
In the faith that looks through death,
In the years that bring the philosophic mind.
