all black mutant penguin

30 Mar

check this out…. apparently, its a “one-in-a-zillion” kind of genetic mutation, which causes the penguin to appear all black!

mutations may be one of the main reasons why species evolved so diversely. creating new species, with new habitats and niches. new characteristics, new defense methods, new predators and new preys.

so, while scientists have found this rare mutation, causing a penguin to be fully black, we have to wait and see how this mutation works out for the flightless bird. whether its a boon or a bane……. whether it’ll survive better, or whether the mutation causes its demise sooner than others…

thats cool!
