had such a fantastic time at kranji bund today. fantastic!!!!!
arrived there on time. so i helped with some of the admin stuff that needed to be done.
as more and more ppl arrived, we got ready. fortunately we had 3 really excited kids there who demonstrated what needed to be done.
han chong gave the briefing and we all set of to work.
we collected over 600kg of rubbish. i dont know whether thats good or bad. thing is, we cleaned up the place. and thats good.
we collected tyres, car parts, too many plastic bags, food wrappers, plastic and glass bottles, cans, etc………
we saw so many entangled crabs and horseshoe crabs on the fishing lines.
we worked hard……..
we found 2 thundercrabs under this spare car part. 2. one really antagonistic one. we thought they must have been mating.
it tugged the gloves of Ann who tried to empty the spare part!
after taking a close up photo of the crab, we tried to let it go back to the muds, but it wouldnt let go of her gloves! and thats the reason why its called thundercrabs!
there were ppl weighing the rubbish collected… over 600kg of rubbish!
and when all was done, some of us were collating the data, when we heard the familiar gunshot. earlier on in the day, we already knew that someone was culling crows. but this time, the noise came from above our heads!!! the crow fell just a few feet from where we were collating the data. eyucks!!
anyway, the results have been tabulated and pie-charted nicely. check out the results if you are interested.
sunset was beautiful as usual………. how could sunsets go wrong!
after washing up, we had the makan kechil that chia chi promised. along with sing along sessions. and it feels like ive not seen such happy ppl in a long time. strangers singing together. such a happy mood. i didnt join in the singing cos i wanted to remember the happy moment. check out the videos..
